Discussion Questions for sermon on 24 August 2025
1. What are some examples of “worldly wisdom” you have heard or even practising? How are these different from the Godly wisdom that James was describing in James 3:13-18?
2. Why do you think it is easy for the church to embrace some of these worldly wisdom? What are some ways which you think can help prevent or “kick out” these worldly wisdom which James described as “earthly, unspiritual and demonic” ?
3. Do you like to embrace and live out Godly wisdom? Why is that and how can you do so?
The seed planted in the 1980s by Faith Methodist Church (FMC) as a grassroots ministry bore fruit as a church 25 years later. Though the growing process, from taking roots to bearing fruits, had not been smooth and easy, God had been faithful.
