Pulpit Calendar

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12

Discussion Questions for Sermon on 14 June 2026

Takeaway Questions for Reflection:

  1. Read Joshua 22:10-12 & James 1:19. The Israelites assumed that the eastern tribes had rebelled against God because they built an altar. What dangers can arise when we make assumptions without first seeking the facts?

  2. Read Joshua 22:13-20, Ephesians 4:15 & Proverbs 27:5-6. Phinehas and the leaders chose to confront the issue and seek clarification before going to war. What does this teach us about handling misunderstandings and conflicts in a godly way?

  3. Read Joshua 22:21-34 & 2 Corinthians 5:18-20. The misunderstanding was resolved and unity was preserved because both sides were willing to communicate and listen. How can we promote reconciliation and unity within the church when tensions or disagreements arise?

ABOUT
OUR CHURCH

The seed planted in the 1980s by Faith Methodist Church (FMC) as a grassroots ministry bore fruit as a church 25 years later. Though the growing process, from taking roots to bearing fruits, had not been smooth and easy, God had been faithful.
