Mandarin Congregation
Formed in 1993, the Mandarin Congregation is made up of a closely knit group of Mandarin- and dialect-speaking individuals and families who gather in The AGAPE every Sunday for a wonderful time of worshiping and praising the Lord. This group has grown into a warm congregation of multi-nationals from Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China who love and care for one another and will continue to grow in the Lord.
The Congregation reaches out to the Mandarin-speaking community in and around the Jurong area through the following activities and events:
SISTERS' FELLOWSHIP
Made up of a group of mothers and sisters, this exclusive Mandarin womanhood club welcomes all women to join in our fun-filled programs which contain some of the following:
- Cooking lessons and pastry making
- Festive handiwork making
- Family talk shows on issues such as teenage concerns and children's education
- Group leisure tours and makan sessions
FAMILY/ACTIVITY GROUPS OR CELL GROUPS
Groups of individuals come together to study God's word, and provide regular care and support for one another.
FELLOWSHIP CAMPS
Fun-filled family get-together time, camps are organized to benefit the larger community by allowing interaction in an informal setting to foster closeness, love and bonding with one another. It is a time for families to get together, let their hair down and have fun through playing games, learning sessions, group sharing and discussions, singing, makan and making a fool of ourselves in an accepting environment of loving people.
SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE
Come join us every Sunday at 10.00am in Hall 3 Level 2 of the AGAPE! Stay back after the Service and get acquainted with the Mandarin Congregation members during the refreshment in our Community Lounge.
