Agape Methodist Church is the partnering church with Lakeside Family Centre (LFC). Through this centre, Agape reaches out to the community in the Taman Jurong area.

LFC started in 1993 with a Family Service Centre and a Before and After School Care (BASC) Centre at Jurong West. As the work expanded, another Family Service Centre and BASC Centre were set up in 2000 at Jurong East, and a third Family Centre in 2007 was set up at Taman Jurong to serve the chronic poor. She also provides counselling support to the Multi-Service Cluster @ Toh Guan together with two other organisations.

LFC provides the following services:

BASC	Children's holiday program

Children: School Social Work at primary schools, BASC for children from working families, WordLand / Educational and Psychological Services to help children improve literacy and numeracy, and a creative arts program and a children’s holiday program.

Youths at TGIF

Youth: School Social Work at secondary schools, the 6-month Streetwise Program for youths with developmental problems and gang involvement, and the 6-month Guidance Program for first time offenders involved in petty crimes. Lakeside’s Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF) provides a safe place for youths to make friends and learn new skills, and her Hi-Flier is an adventure learning and counselling program for youths.

Adult and Family: Marriage Preparation Courses, parents’ support groups, an Active Seniors Club, a needy family program and lunch-time family life talks for staff of corporations in Jurong.

Counselling: Professionally trained counsellors journey with individuals, couples, groups and families as they go through difficulties in life.

Specialised Services: The new Taman Jurong Centre, situated on level 3 of the AGAPE, offers assistance to the chronic poor, families of the incarcerated (such as providing televisitation access to family members in prison) and families requiring temporary shelter, and the needy by creating employment opportunities for them.

Lakeside has been providing quality social services to individuals and families in Jurong, regardless of race, language or religion. The effectiveness of their outreach is evidenced by her growth to three centres and two BASC centres spread across the Jurong area.
